If you are dissatisfied with the products purchased from MyCarAlert.com, paid by card, and you want to cancel the purchase and implicitly receive the money back, you can apply for the product return procedure within a maximum of 10 working days, according to the provisions of Government Ordinance no. .130/2000, regarding consumer protection when concluding and executing distance contracts.
The period of 10 working days provided for the exercise of this right begins to run:
a) for products, from the date of their receipt by the consumer;
b) for services, from the day the contract is concluded;
Distance contract means the contract for the supply of products or services concluded between a trader and a consumer, within a sales system organized by the trader, who exclusively uses, before and at the conclusion of this contract, one or more techniques of remote communication.
The right of return within 10 working days is only addressed to customers who purchased products online from the MyCarAlert.com website
The customer has the right to unilaterally terminate the distance contract, within 10 working days, without penalties and without citing any reason. According to Ordinance no. 130/2000, the consumer is responsible for paying the expenses related to the return of the products to the merchant.
The right to cancel the purchase does not apply to legal entities.
Reimbursement of the amounts will be made within 30 days at most from the date of termination of the contract by the consumer.
According to the provisions of Ordinance no. 130/2000, the consumer cannot unilaterally denounce the following types of contracts, with the exception of cases where the parties (the consumer and the merchant) have agreed otherwise:
a) contracts for the provision of services whose execution began, with the consent of the consumer, before the expiration of the term of 10 working days;
b) contracts for the supply of products or services whose price depends on the fluctuations of the financial market rates that cannot be controlled by the trader;
c) contracts for the supply of products executed according to the consumer’s specifications or distinctly personalized products, as well as those which, by their nature, cannot be returned or which can degrade or deteriorate quickly;
d) contracts for the provision of audio, video recordings or computer programs, if these recordings or computer programs have been unsealed by the consumer;
e) contracts for the supply of newspapers, periodicals, store journals;
f) betting or lottery service contracts;
